Hi, I’m Damien Munsinger.
Damien has been working on employment law cases for his entire career. A litigator who enthusiastically practices in state, federal and appellate courts, Damien leads cases at every stage of litigation. Before founding Munsinger Law, he worked at other firms focussed on employment law, served as an Honors Attorney at the Oregon Department of Justice, and was Special Assistant to the Oregon Attorney General. This varied experience gives him an unusually clear view of how employers and their lawyers approach cases, and how to best advocate for our clients.
I represent people at the hardest moments of their working lives. When someone is discriminated against, pushed out, passed over, harassed, or punished for doing the right thing, the law is supposed to answer. My job is to make it answer.
Our Approach
We operate Munsinger Law around a simple idea: the client comes first. After more than a decade litigating for the State of Oregon, practicing at established employment firms, and advising the institutions that often sit on the other side of these disputes, I knew I could serve people better on my own terms. People come to us because they were pushed out, passed over, harassed, or punished for doing the right thing. We take the time to understand what actually happened to you, and we’ll be honest about where your case is strong, where it's vulnerable, and what the law can realistically deliver.
We focus on preparing your case for trial, and it changes how we work. We prepare every case as if it's going to a jury, because that is a key way to understand what a case is truly worth and the best way to be ready when the other side refuses to be reasonable. Trial work sharpens everything that comes before it: the questions we ask in discovery, the witnesses we develop, the theory of the case we commit to.
That preparation is what positions a case to win at any stage. A defendant settles on fair terms when they can see that the lawyer across the table is ready and able to try the case and win, and they dig in when they sense the opposite. Most matters resolve before trial, but they resolve well precisely because they were built to be tried. We don't treat the courtroom as a last resort, but as the standard every case is measured against.
